Rolf Marschner, DL9CM, born 1937. After school graduation businessman in Kiel and Flensburg. 1958-1961 German Air Force. 1961/62 Radio School Flensburg. From July 1962 till September 1972 R/O on German Merchant Ships. Call signs: DAFU, DHQT, DEER, DEET, DKNH, DEJM, DLCD, DEAQ and DLCM. Also working on coast radio stations when QTP at „Colombo Radio“/4PB, „Santo Domingo Radio“/HIA and 1971 for one month at „Bern Radio“/HEB. From 1972 to 2000 employee at the Max-Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy Bonn, Retired since 2000. Ham since 2001, I made my licence in Biel, Switzerland.
Hobbies: Amateur Radio and history of wireless at sea.
